Will travel for the right leaf.Floral design, houseplant styling and pineapple-level hospitality. Queer energy. Always growing.

PlantDaddytsp

Twenty years in four-star dining rooms taught me one thing: people remember how a room made them feel. So I fill rooms with things that are alive.

Bold. Flirty. Lush.— the florals
Loud. Clear. Sober.— the daddy
— the hospitalityPineapple-level.

The
Work

Three things, done with the same hands and the same standard: the one you pick up after two decades at Del Posto, Pendry and Wolfgang Puck, then let loose in a garden.

Some flowers never stop blooming.
01

Florals with main-character energy

Weddings, restaurant installs, dinner parties, weekly refreshes. Proteas with attitude, boutonnières with personality. Drama in the vase, zero drama in the process.

Plant Daddy tips

01

Lemon in the vase water.

A squeeze keeps bacteria down and blooms up. Fresher, longer, free.

02

Build the arrangement like a cast.

Sunflowers for sunshine. Gerberas for pop. Mums and roses for body. Eucalyptus for volume. Every stem has a job.

03

Buy the drama, not the budget.

A grocery-store haul and one good vase beats a $300 arrangement nobody touches. Bang for your bloom.

04

Mondays are for the refresh.

Hands on flowers by sunrise, fingers in dirt before noon. Rotate, prune, water, repeat. Plants notice.

05

Match the plant to the person, not the Pinterest.

If you travel, you get a snake plant. If you hover, you get a fern. I will be honest about which one you are.

Turns out my other love language is getting my hands dirty.

The Daddy

Hi, I’m Tyler. Your resident Plant Daddy.

Cornell Hotelie. Twenty years of luxury hospitality: Del Posto, Pendry, Wolfgang Puck, The Aster. Then I got sober, got honest, and started putting my hands in dirt for a living.

Now I design florals and plant spaces across Los Angeles, host like it’s a sport, and say the quiet part loud. Being real is the superpower. The outfits are just the uniform.

Every crop on this page was chosen by entropy, not by hand.

Each photo gets a salience map: local Shannon entropy on 16px cells (how much visual information is packed in), plus edge density, colour saturation and a hard bonus wherever a face is detected so no crop ever beheads Tyler. For every aspect ratio the page needs, we slide the largest fitting window over that map and keep the one with the highest mean salience, constrained to fully contain the face. The centroid of salience inside the crop becomes the CSS focal point, and a k-means pass on the crop gives the hover accent. Swap a photo in and the layout re-crops itself.
